The Role: Audit Senior Manager (with Charities and/or Academies experience)
Location: Location flexible - Serving North West based clients from our Preston, Liverpool or Manchester offices. Flexible and remote working also offered.
Hours: Full time

Supporting our Corporate Services team to deliver a quality service to a portfolio of clients, including academies and charities. The key responsibilities of the role will include:

• Taking responsibility for planning, field work and completion of statutory audits for a mixed portfolio of academies, charities and commercial entities
• Preparing individual and group statutory accounts under UK GAAP
• Supervising audit teams on site to ensure assignments are completed on time and within budget
• To plan and manage workflow for the team
• To manage, develop and motivate managers and the team by providing support and development through on the job coaching and appraisals
• Preparation of corporation tax computations
• Monitoring of WIP and billing
• Preparing draft reports and other documentations for presentation to clients

Our ideal candidate will:

• Be ACA qualified
• Have a sound knowledge and experience of auditing standards and experience of a wide range of audit clients, including academies
• Have experience of preparation of accounts for academies, charities and commercial entities
• Have experience of managing audit teams
• Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and to tailor communication appropriately
• Have a strong commercial awareness

Strong IT skills are essential in this role, with candidates ideally being competent in all Microsoft packages as well as accounts production, audit and corporation tax software, Sage Line 50 and preferably some experience of cloud based accounting software.
