The Role: Senior Tax Manager
Hours: Full Time
Location: North West based with travel to the Preston office required a maximum of once per week. With the flexibility to also work from our other offices if they are closer to the candidate’s home.

The key responsibilities of this role are:
· Delivery of corporate tax compliance services to SMEs and subsidiaries of MNEs, including review / preparation of CT computations and accounting disclosures in accordance with FRS 102, and preparation of tax reports.
· Delivery of corporate tax advice (e.g. cross border issues, corporate interest restriction, R&D, patent box, capital allowances).
· Dealing with HMRC enquiries.
· Transaction support, including due diligence reports.
· Review of work performed by junior staff and contributing to their development.
· Development and expansion of advisory services.
· Ensure services are delivered profitably and invoiced promptly.
· Contribute to process improvements and driving efficiencies.
· Promotion of the Corporate Tax services to both new and existing clients.
· Deliver presentations to clients and potential clients, demonstrating credibility of the team
· Support the marketing efforts of the business, including writing articles, giving interviews, presenting at events, and providing social media and website updates.
Your key skills must include:
· The ACA/ACCA and/or CTA qualification
· Excellent knowledge of UK Corporate Tax legislation.
· Thorough understanding of company accounts including groups, especially on corporate and deferred tax provisions.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to tailor communications to different levels of client sophistication.
· Confidence/ability to present information effectively to staff and clients.
· Confidence/ability to network with fellow professionals.
· Highly numerate.
· Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
· Attention to detail.
· Flexible, resourceful, and enthusiastic about tax.
· Solutions focussed approach.
· Ability to review work, provide honest feedback, and manage and develop staff.
· Proficient in Word, Excel and CT software applications.
