Salary: £16 - £18k per annum full time equivalent (£9,143 - £10,286 per annum actual)

Supporting our Finance team to deliver a quality service, the principal duties of this role include:

SALES AND PURCHASE LEDGER ADMINISTRATION

• Daily banking of cheques and receiving credit/debit card payments
• Posting and reconciling client receipts to the sales ledger
• Preparing the monthly statement run and sending copy invoices to clients
• Running month end reports for partners and departments
• Assisting the credit controller with debt collection letters
• Processing cheque requests forms and raising cheques
• Processing credit card request forms and making payments

GENERAL DEPARTMENTAL ADMINISTRATION

• Completing and submitting national statistics forms
• Chasing outstanding employee time sheets and unauthorised expense forms
• Providing support with TOIL calculations and reconciliations
• Completing and sending forms to the bank
• Posting employee expenses to our practice management system
• Providing cover and support to the database team as required
• Any other ad hoc duties and project work as required


To be successful in this role, candidates will need to have excellent attention to detail, a high degree of accuracy and a flexible approach to managing their workload and priorities. The role requires candidates to adopt a discrete and confidential disposition whilst also having the interpersonal skills to communicate and interact with staff, colleagues and external sources effectively.

To be considered for this position, applicants will need to:

• Have at least 12 months’ experience in an administration role, preferably in a finance environment
• Have a minimum of grade C at GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
• Be a competent user of Word and Excel

Previous experience of working within a professional services environment is desirable but not essential.
