The Role

(Key responsibilities)

 

Supporting our Healthcare Services team to deliver a quality service to a range of healthcare clients (including medical, dental, care homes, hospital consultants and pharmacists), the principal duties of this role will be to prepare and undertake accounts assignments for manager/director review. The key responsibilities of the role will include the preparation of:  

 

• Annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

• Tax computations alongside the accounts work

• Superannuation certificates

• VAT returns  

 

You will also assist with the training and supervision of more junior staff.

 

Experience, Skills and Qualifications required

 

The successful applicant will need to be able to plan and prioritise their own workload, be able to communicate with clients and colleagues in a professional manner, and be a good team player, to ensure the team as a whole meets its objectives.  

 

To be considered for this position, applicants will need to possess the following:  

• AAT or be part ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)

• GCSE grade B or above in Math's and English (or equivalent)

• A minimum of two years’ generalist experience in an accounts role within practice

• Good IT skills, including Word and Excel

• A driving license and a car insured for business use

 

Experience of medical accounts will be advantageous.
