Assisting the Corporate Services team, your key responsibilities will be:   

  • Assist in the planning, field work and completion of statutory audits in a variety of industries 
  • Preparing sole trader, partnership and limited company accounts under UK GAAP, including FRS102 
  • Assisting audit teams on site, ensuring assignments are completed on time and within budget
  • Preparation of corporation tax computations
  • Preparing draft reports and other documentation for presentation to clients 
  • Dealing with clients in a confident and professional manner   
  • Assisting with the training of junior members of staff 
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess up to date technical knowledge of Auditing and Financial Reporting Standards. A sound general understanding of auditing and accounting principles will also be beneficial.     

To be considered for this role, applicants will ideally need to:
  • Be part ACA or ACCA qualified 
  • Have a good knowledge of auditing, preparing accounts under FRS and basic tax principles, including corporation tax and deferred tax 
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and to tailor communication appropriately
  • Be eager to develop personally and learn from more experienced colleagues 
  • Have strong IT skills
Candidates must be able to plan and prioritise their own workload, be able to communicate with partners, clients and colleagues in a professional manner, be attentive to detail and be a good team player. Candidates must be competent in all Microsoft packages, accounts and corporation tax software and Sage Line 50 with preferably some experience of cloud based accounting software.
