The Role: Audit Semi Senior
Location: MHA Moore and Smalley – North West based

Hours: Full time

Salary: Competitive (dependent on skills, qualification and experience) plus a fully funded study package

Supporting the Corporate Services team to deliver a quality service to a portfolio of clients, the principal duties of this role will include:

· assisting with the planning, field work and completion of statutory audits for a variety of industries

· completing audit/accounts work in a timely fashion

· data analysis

· preparing draft accounts

· preparing draft tax computations for review

· preparing VAT returns

· working in an ethical and professional manner

· assisting junior staff where appropriate

We are seeking a candidate who is committed to providing outstanding client service, whilst concurrently taking responsibility for their own progression and development. The successful applicant will need to be able to plan and prioritise their own workload, be able to communicate with clients and colleagues in a professional manner, have the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner and be a good team player, to ensure the team as a whole meets its objectives.

To be considered for this position, our ideal candidate will:

· be part ACA/ACCA qualified or fully AAT qualified (or equivalent)

· have a good knowledge of auditing, preparing accounts under FRS and basic tax principles, including corporation tax and deferred tax

· have a good understanding of auditing principles and practical experience

· be a competent user of Microsoft Word and Excel and be highly numerate

· have a solutions focussed attitude

· be enthusiastic and willing to go the extra mile

· be willing to combine the demands of a full time role whilst studying for professional qualifications

Whilst not essential, candidates with experience of SAGE Line 50, cloud accounting packages (for example QuickBooks and Xero) or CCH Pro systems will be prioritised.
