The Role

(Key responsibilities)

  • Supporting the tax partners and directors on a variety of tax planning projects, including some or all of the following:
  • Company restructuring
  • Employee share schemes
  • Dividend planning
  • Alphabet share structures
  • EIS and SEIS shares
  • Acquisition and disposal of private companies / unincorporated businesses
  • Management buy outs
  • Private client management
  • Non UK resident individuals, companies and trusts
  • Corporate tax advisory, e.g. loan relationships and derivatives
  • Year-end tax planning

The projects undertaken will be dependent on client requirements, but the successful candidate will have the flexibility and aptitude to work on a wide range of issues as they arise.

 

 Experience, Skills and Qualifications required

 

Candidates will need to have a natural ability to work well with people and be able to develop long lasting and trusting relationships with our clients. A commitment to delivering exceptional client service alongside being a good team player will be the key to success in this role.

 

To be considered for this position, applicants will need to have:

 

ACA or ACCA qualification

CTA qualification considered desirable but not essential (for the right candidate we can provide study support towards achieving this qualification)

Knowledge of corporate, personal, business and capital taxes

Confidence in taking the initiative on projects

The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and to tailor communication appropriately

The ability to work as part of a team

A strong commercial awareness and strong attention to detail

Flexibility in working practices to support client needs
