Key Responsibilities:

 

Technical

  • Prepare corporate tax computations for large and complex companies, not for profit entities and corporate groups. Review corporate tax computations prepared by colleagues in accounting teams and junior colleagues in the corporate tax team.
  • Audit of tax computations prepared by other firms.
  • Advise clients on their corporate tax liabilities, including preparation of submission letters and tax reports.
  • Advisory services, including capital allowances claims, creative industry claims, due diligence reports and R&D. Provide technical corporate tax support to colleagues in other departments across the firm,  

 

Management

  • Line manager to junior members of staff, monitor and support development, carry out appraisals and report issues to directors when appropriate.
  • Contribute to internal training including presentations to tax and accounting colleagues.
  • Ensure WIP is translated into fees and recoveries are maximised.

 

Essential Skills:

  • Sound and comprehensive corporation tax knowledge covering single companies and groups, and desire to develop expertise into specialist areas where appropriate.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage time, balance priorities and meet deadlines.

Person specification:

  • Five year’s or more experience in corporate tax.
  • Flexible to work in different offices or on site to needs of the firm and its clients.
